Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for procuring products and services per established guidelines. Will utilize Preferred Sources, OGS Contracts, Agency Contracts, and Open Market vendors when making purchases. Shall ensure Purchase Requests comply with the NYS Procurement Guidelines. Extensive use of credit cards to pay for products and services. Timely reconciliation of credit card charges is required. Purchase Order transactions will be processed via the Statewide Financial System. Frequent contact with vendors when obtaining price quotes, product information, or proof of insurance documents. Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets for Community Minor Maintenance Projects, Credit Card Authorizations, and when tracking Serve Numbers. Must communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and managers. Assist agency personnel or vendors when there are questions about procurement rules and processes. Supervision of subordinate staff when required. Provide support to other departments within the Business Office as necessary.

Additional Comments ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Family and household member relationships: OPWDD policy may impact eligibility for this position. • CAPA: Must be cleared by the NYS Central Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment, if position requires working with minors and not previously cleared.
• All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.

If you are employed by state government you may be able to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments have been made under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.
