Minimum Qualifications Eligible candidate must have one year of permanent or 55-b/55-c New York State Service as a Secretary 1; OR currently incumber a New York State clerical or secretarial position from which 70.1 transfer is appropriate; OR be reachable on the Civil Service List.

Duties Description The incumbent will provide primary administrative support to the Deputy Director of Regional Office in Metro Manhattan. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain efficient workflow in the Deputy Director’s Office
• Resolve day to day operational problems
• Review incoming correspondence and draft responses, where appropriate
• Respond to phone calls
• Researching information as required
• Organize, expedite and follow up on projects
• Coordinate information flow and act as liaison between management, staff, outside organizations and entities
• Type correspondence and reports
