Minimum Qualifications Trial experience is a must and federal court experience is a plus. Familiarity with the Court of Claims and/or Mental Hygiene Law is also a plus. Superior writing, analytical and organizational skills are required. Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years of practice experience.

Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the Office be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.

Duties Description The New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) seeks an experienced litigator to work in its Buffalo Regional Office. The Regional Office represents the State, its agencies and officers in a wide range of federal and state court litigation. The attorney will handle all phases of litigation from commencement through trial.

Additional Comments Salary commensurate with experience.
