Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a current NYS employee and have had one year of permanent status as a Mental Health Program Specialist 3, G25, and be eligible for lateral transfer. Additionally, candidates who are eligible to transfer via Section 52.6 and 70.1 of the Civil Service Law will be considered.
Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill one Mental Health Program Specialist 3, G-25 position in the Division of State Operated Children’s and Adult Services. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Program Lead for State Operated Outpatient Clinic Services, which includes ensuring the provision of
quality services, while also assessing for efficiencies and sustainability; reviewing staffing patterns;
serving as Business Owner for the Outpatient Scheduler and developing and implementing the
productivity report;
• Program Lead for implementation of eVISTA (OMH’s Electronic Health Record);
• Business Owner for MHPD;
• Program Lead for Psych Rehab program, which includes oversight to ensure outcomes driven
programming is being implemented at each facility;
• Program Lead for implementation of Lean Six Sigma activities related to improving the quality and
efficiency of service delivery, which includes Project Manager for CDPC CIU and implementation of a
visual tracker for monitoring patient flow;
• Participate in the development of an improved treatement process for new admissions;
• Liaison for Directors of Rehab and Directors of Social Worker;
• Supervision of at least one staff member;
• Liaison for Peer Specialist and Spirituality leaders; and
• Participate in the development of an improved treatment process for new admissions.
