Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for understanding the policies, Federal and State regulations, laws and proposals related to assigned programs. The incumbent will perform day-to-day budgeting analyst functions including review of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Nutrition-Education plans. The incumbent will work closely with program staff to resolve any issues with the plans, and follow up to ensure that questions are addressed. Additional duties may also include reviewing Requests for Proposals, policy directives, contracts and agreements with other State agencies, developing budget journals, monitoring expenditures, working on State plan development and the State budget request for assigned programs.

Budget implementation - This requires researching, preparing for, and implementing the budget for assigned programs.

Budget monitoring - This requires preparing requests for funding and monitoring expenditures for assigned programs, preparing fiscal analyses, and working with other State agency staff and OTDA Finance staff on quarterly reporting.

The incumbent will also be tasked with other duties, as assigned.

Additional Comments A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.

Salary for Trainee 1 is $43,888.00
