Permanent status as an Addictions Program Specialist 2, G-23 and interested in reassignment ~OR~ Reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Addictions Program Specialist 2, G-23 ~OR~ Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will be responsible for implementing OASAS' Clinical Practice Standards for Adolescents as it relates to the enhancement and further development of outpatient and residential services for youth. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Analyzes current research on addition and recovery services for youth, young adults, and their families.
• Implementation of OASAS’ youth Clinical Practice Guidelines as it relates to improvement of outpatient and residential services.
• Serve as the OASAS lead on the Youth and Young Adult Clubhouses.
• Assists in the transformation of Health and Behavioral Health Services for youth as it relates to Medicaid Managed Care Redesign.
• Represents OASAS as appropriate at forums involving local governments, municipalities, services providers, organizations, professional associations, etc.
• Assess the information available on program resources, local need, OASAS priorities and other concerns.
