Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) Quality Assurance/Operations staff are responsible for completing desk audits on completed and finalized CAS assessments. Through desk audits, gathering information from MSC agencies, interfacing with self-advocates, family, and other stakeholders, running reports in the UAS-NY and completing record reviews, CAS quality assurance/operations personnel will gather necessary information to check for coding consistency within a CAS assessment as well as address any concerns and/or issues raised by stakeholders on a particular assessment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
While reporting to the CAS operations Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist I (DDPS I), responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• Complete desk audits of finalized CAS assessments as assigned.
• Reach out to Stakeholders to gather information as needed to complete assigned reviews.
• Use the UAS-NY aggregate reports to run reports and utilize the information within said reports.
• Communicate effectively with, and interview a wide range of individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as with other stakeholders.
• Integrate information from various sources to ensure that the Quality Assurance (QA) review of the CAS is complete and consistent in its coding.
• Maintain mandated timeframes for the completion of the CAS quality assurance reviews assigned.
• Complete all required documentation accurately utilizing the technology provided.
• Participate in quality assurance activities such as in-person and online review of the administration and completion of a CAS.
• In order to complete QA functions, travel is required including overnight stays at hotels.
• Utilize flexible scheduling, including some evening and weekend hours as required.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively, including prioritizing work plans and work assignments and meeting deadlines.
• Attain set productivity standards, or an average number of CAS quality assurance reviews per month.
• Fulfill training and certification requirements prior to the utilization of the CAS assessment tool and on an ongoing basis.
• Attend CAS specific trainings as required and complete all OPWDD mandated training in a timely manner.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor’s degree in a human service related field (i.e., Social work, psychology, etc.) and minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with people who have Developmental Disabilities.
• Display strong writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Possess the ability to work independently.
• Have a working knowledge of and be proficient in the use of a computer.
