Minimum Qualifications Current permanent status as an Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding and qualified for lateral transfer ~OR~ Eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law ~OR~ Reachable on the current Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding Civil Service eligible list.

Duties Description The Ofiice Assiatant 2 Keyboarding performs clerical and office support activities that require substantive knowledge of the program and/or of the program's governing laws, rules, and regulations. Duties include opening and data processing the large volume of daily mail; recording, processing, and preparing daily deposits; assisting in the management of applications, e-mails, letters, and telephone calls from applicants, credentialed professionals, employers, complainants, and members of the general public regarding the application process and the status of applicants, trainees, and credentialed professionals; and other duties as assigned. Knowledge of the Microsoft Application Suite is required and the successful candidate will need to learn to use other applications specific to the Credentialing process. To be effective in this position the candidate must accurately data process a large volume of information and have effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills as well as be able to work in a team environment.
