Salary RangeFrom $40324 to $49417 Annually
Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service in this title or eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service law.
Duties Description Perform a variety of secretarial tasks necessary to support the Director and other staff in the Bureau of Permanency Services.
Provide back-up coverage for other Division of Child Welfare and Community Services secretaries in Home Office as needed.
Respond to callers to the New York State Parent Connection Helpline; provide information or make referrals as needed.
Gather and format statistical information needed for the monthly report, monthly adoption finalizations, Adoption Month activities, international adoptions, and other federal and State reports.
Schedule meetings and video conferences; maintain a calendar of daily staff attendance and approved leaves.
Track incoming official correspondence such as ETS, PIO’s, FOIL’s and the timeframe for responses; close out and forward official’s responses as appropriate.
Maintain office and electronic files.
Support travel requests through submission in the Statewide Financial System.
Attend Training Coordinator meeting; relay Permanency services staff training needs to training unit; distribute training announcements to staff and make necessary arrangements for staff to attend training sessions.
