Minimum Qualifications Requirements for Appointment at Each Level:
For Teacher 2: New York State provisional/initial/conditional initial certification in the appropriate specialty**.
For Teacher 3: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty**.
For Teacher 4: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial/conditional initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in the appropriate specialty**.
Duties Description • Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education
• Department.
• Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.
• Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.
• Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Additional Comments Positions are available for Summer Teachers certified in grades 7-12 in the following subject areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Art. Level of appointment is based on training and experience.
Teacher 2 G-13 $20.18
Teacher 3, G-15 $22.55
Teacher 4, G-17 $25.15
*Rates subject to change with contract approvals
