Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED and 3 years experience in any manufacturing setting, including, 1 year as a supervisor. After 1 year of service, incumbents are advanced to Industrial Training Supervisor 2 (Garment) depending on the individual position at issue, without further exam.
Duties Description Supervise and train inmates on production equipment, usage of tools, safety and production procedures. Document inmate training with the approved training form (1574). Maintain stock levels of raw materials to help the shop production goals. Document and evaluate inmate employees using form (3250), including inmate job titles and work performance. Work with Production Control Supervisor on keeping accurate inventories of raw materials and finished products. Follow set guidelines for meeting quality standards and daily production requirements. When requested, assist in other industry operations, must have basic mechanical understanding of machines used in garment manufacturing environment.
Additional Comments Industrial Training Supervisor 1 salary: $45,159 - $55,008.
Minimum qualifications: 2 years in manufacturing process of trade, 1 year of supervision, High School diploma or GED.
