Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of a Mental Hygiene Program Evaluation Specialist4, the Health Information Management Administrator 1 will be assigned to the Quality Improvement Department and will manage and oversee administration and maintenance of individual health records for Taconic DDSO.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Supervise a team of staff engaged in health records collection, retention, reference and access duties
-Be responsible for the implementation and oversight of the agency’s Electronic Health Record system (EHR) currently in development
-Provide feedback and/or experiences with the new EHR system for DDSOO users to foster ongoing system improvement
-Ensures that all DDSOO health records activities are in compliance with State and Federal HIPPA laws, rules and regulations and guidelines manages and oversees the day-today operations of a facilities medical records program and health information management Services department.
