Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list, or;
Interested candidates must be eligible to transfer under section 52.6, 70.1 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law:
52.6 transfer candidates must have at least one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to a grade 16 or higher and designated 52.6.
70.4 transfer candidates must have one year permanent competitive service in a position within two salary grades of SG-13 and possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College and have standing on the PCO exam.
Candidates may be required to serve a 2-year traineeship that leads to the grade 18 position. The traineeship would include SG-13 Trainee 1 and SG-14 Trainee 2. After successful completion of the two year traineeship the incumbent will advance to the SG-18 level.
Duties Description The position of Senior Administrative Analyst would be assigned to the Special Funds group within Financial Services. Duties will include, but will not be limited to: Receiving, evaluating, and analyzing payment requests and reports received from third-party vendors to ensure accuracy; confirming contract provisions are being adhered to and determine proper payments; recommending procedural updates and modifications; calculating payment amounts; corresponding with third-party entities, customers, and stakeholders with issues or questions that arise regarding submissions or reports; maintaining files and ensuring records that describe each transaction are properly stored in accordance with procedures; recommending remedies for improving filing and record keeping procedures; ensuring individuals seeking access to specific information are authorized to receive such information; replying to correspondence and telephone inquiries; overseeing and ensuring payment requests are complete; preparing reports and summaries; assisting supervisor as needed with special projects and supervise support staff.
