Minimum Qualifications Must be currently serving in the title of Direct Support Assistant with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.

OPERATIONAL NEEDS: : Current AMAP, SCIP, First Aid and CPR Certifications are preferred. A valid Driver’s License is required. Successful candidates must be able to work with non-ambulatory consumers. Heavy lifting is often considered in the selection process. Experience working with aggressive consumers with behavior problems is also preferred.

Duties Description • Successful candidate must have experience working with a diverse group of individuals.
• The incumbent will be assigned on a daily basis to work with various classroom instructors.
• Incumbent will assist, train, and supervise developmentally disabled individuals in developing skills as outlined in prescribed treatment plans.
• Data collections and other record-keeping is required.
• The incumbent will have contact with family members, neighbors, community vendors, and service providers.
