Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service or 55b/c service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 1 or eligible for a 70.1 transfer.
Duties Description Work with the Regional CMSO and Facility staff to develop effective strategies of matching youth's vocational/employment interests and experiences gained while in facility to opportunities in their home communities.
Develop and maintain partnerships with training providers, employers, youth development providers and community colleges in order to follow individual academic and career education plans.
Provide job readiness instruction, including employment
counseling services, oversee development of youth portfolios (vocational folders).
Establish a system for placing youth in jobs appropriate to their skills, aptitudes and interests.
Provide direction in the integration of academic and workforce development skills.
Responsible for program development and fiscal oversight.
Provide technical assistance and monitoring to local departments of social services and voluntary agencies on numerous issues
Update and disseminate policies and agency forms related to DJJOY requirements and regulations
