70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: You may be eligible for Section 70.4 transfer if you have one year of permanent competitive service at salary grade 12 or higher, possess a Bachelor’s degree including or supplemented by 24 credit hours in accounting and/or auditing coursework and have passed the Professional Careers in Accounting and Auditing examination. Depending on your level of professional accounting/auditing experience, if any, you may be qualified for appointment to Auditor Trainee 1 (NS=14), Auditor Trainee 2 (NS=16), or full-title Senior Auditor, Gr-18.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

As a Senior Auditor in the Unemployment Insurance Division, you would perform field audits and investigations of employer accounts and records to ensure proper reporting of wages and payments of Unemployment Insurance contributions. Audits or investigations may be conducted at the employer’s place of business or at the location of the employer’s representative. Duties include, but are not limited to, the examination of employers’ financial records, the gathering of information, and the preparation of written documentation. Other duties include contacting employers to collect employer liabilities due the Department of Labor. This is a field position in which travel is expected.
