Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be current state employees and have a reachable score on the Secretary 1 list or have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Secretary 1 or as a title eligible for transfer to Secretary 1 or appointment as Secretary 1 here at UAlbany, less than 1 year of service (remainder of probationary period to be completed in new assignment), Grade 9 with one year in service looking to do 70.1 two grade jump to grade 11, or be a former state employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Secretary 1. May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and/or experience in using MS Word and MS Excel.

Duties Description Provide principal administrative support to the Center for Technology in Government; answer e-mails, phone calls and related correspondence in relation to policy or procedures and refer calls to appropriate faculty or staff member; schedule meetings internally and with external parties by request; maintain and support Center Director’s calendar to include scheduling all meetings; coordinate and book all travel upon approval for travel to meetings, conferences, projects and events; prepare traveler information packets; review all staff calendars and propagate calendars to one weekly calendar of meetings and events distributed to all staff on Fridays; maintain schedule for meeting rooms for office events and activities, print copies weekly for display in each room, assist daily with room set up; maintain staff list for weekly kitchen duties and coordination; maintenance of a ready supply of CTG information packets designed for public distribution; maintain adequate office supplies and submit orders, and maintain supply cabinets in an orderly and consistent fashion; assist with all CTG events and meeting preparation, copies, phone calls, room set up; maintain accurate inventory of CTG equipment purchases into CTG’s inventory database; input contact information into CTG contact database

Ideal opportunity for Grade 9 with one year in service looking for Promotion to Grade 11. Typing proficiency test will be given if necessary at SUNY.
