Minimum Qualifications
One year of permanent competitive service in this title or a title eligible for transfer pursuant to Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description
Assist the Associate Director of Training 1 with coordination and implementation of training programs within the Management and Professional Development Unit (MPDU) to support organizational development of OCFS staff.
Aid in on-going professional development opportunities for employees through the provision of performance consulting services; curriculum development; facilitation; needs assessment and coaching services.
Assist with creating and maintaining a protocol for BTD trainers and their on-going professional development.
Assist with coordination and delivery of Supervisory Institute, Paraprofessional Institute, Fundamentals in Supervisory Practice, and other programs offered by MPDU.
Conduct training sessions using a variety of media.
Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines based on instructional design best practices.
Support development of methods to evaluate the performance and progress of learners.
Responsible for supervision of Training Specialist 1 staff across the state.

Additional Comments Travel Required: 20%
