Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
52.6 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates in a Grade 21 (or above) title designated as administrative may be eligible to transfer to this title under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law provided all other transfer criteria are met.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
The Business Systems Analyst 2 (BSA 2) will manage multiple on-going business process and information technology projects. Illustrative duties include, but are not limited to:
Communicating business processes and system requirements to IT staff, program staff and stakeholders.
Work with program staff and stakeholders to define and develop requirements for new or existing information technology systems and business processes.
Ensuring new applications have appropriate forms, procedures, documentation, and help screens to support effective testing, training, and operations.
Documenting and modeling existing and to-be processes.
Gathering user requirements through individual and group interviews.
Creating use cases and business rule catalogs.
Facilitating meetings and Joint Application Design sessions and giving presentations.
Defining data input and output activities; as well as descriptions of data elements.
Assisting with developing test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
Coordinating the testing process and maintaining test outcome/results.
Demonstrating and training users in new applications.
Supervising and directing the activities of Business System Analyst 1’s.
