Salary RangeFrom $45159 to $55008 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employees with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c status as a Program Aide (previously Administrative Aide or Agency Program Aide); OR New York State employees with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c status in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Program Aide will have wide-ranging responsibilities that will involve working with Bureau managers and staff auditors. The Program Aide, under the supervision of the Director of Internal Audit, will be responsible for the following tasks including, but not limited to: assisting in the editing and review of audit reports and other documentation; tracking engagement response due dates and sending reminders; assisting with preparations for the Bureau’s quarterly meetings, Audit Committee meetings, and in-house trainings; assisting with recruitment activities; maintaining a staff training summary record; assisting auditors with preparations for the audit process; maintaining version control and updates to Bureau policies and procedures; maintaining quality of records (electronic and paper); performing reviews of inventory as part of programmatic audits; and periodic reviews of procurement card charges.
The Program Aide will also be responsible for using the Bureau’s audit management system (TeamMate) to track recommendations and status updates, generating TeamMate reports, and sending customer surveys; maintaining a corrective action plan, including making determinations of when corrective actions have been satisfactorily implemented; processing contract auditor invoices for payment; and maintaining a schedule of expenditures to track contractor expenses.
The Program Aide will serve as the Bureau’s Personnel Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Security ID Card Representative, and Bureau representative on agency initiative teams. The Program Aide will make purchases with an agency-issued procurement card (supplies, memberships, TeamMate maintenance, conference registration, etc.) and perform monthly reconciliations of procurement card charges.
