Salary RangeFrom $50722 to $64557 Annually
Minimum Qualifications One year permanent competitive service as a Youth Recreation Specialist 2 or eligible for 70.1 transfer.
Provisional Qualifications: Either A. a Bachelor's degree and two years of full-time experience working in a physical education or sports-oriented recreation program primarily for youth between the ages of 10 and 21;
OR B. a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education; Recreation; Leisure Studies; Outdoor Education, Therapeutic Recreation; Recreation Management; Outdoor/Environmental Education and Camping; Leisure Recreation Program Delivery; Management of Leisure Studies; Outdoor Recreation; or in a closely related degree in the field of recreation; and one year of full-time experience described above;
OR C. a Master's degree in one of the above listed degree areas or in a closely related degree in the field of recreation.
Duties Description
Plan, supervise, and coordinate the youth recreation activities of an Office of Children and Family Services residential facility.
May be required to supervise other recreation professionals.
Develop and oversee the facility recreation budget.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
