TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description This Program Aide will function as the senior clerk of the department inputting all transactions into NYSTEP and PAYSERV. The incumbent will complete all employment verification requests; troubleshoots all issues with employee compensation and health insurance transactions, inputs W-4s and Retirement System enrollments and changes into the system. This Program Aide will provide much needed support to the Metro New York Human Resources Specialists and the department, as a whole, by referring incoming calls and correspondence, processing written correspondence and handling and/or referring inquiries concerning staff from outside entities and management. The incumbent will also be the liaison for the Performance Evaluation and Workplace Violence programs.

Incumbent will perform other tasks as assigned.
