Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades-worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
Preference will be given to candidates who have at least two years experience in the operation of equipment ie: loader, skidsteer, mini excavator, and other types equipment.
Duties Description The candidate will be required to operate all types of equipment and must have a good working knowledge of all equipment being operated. The candidate will be required to operate a Tractor Trailer and be able to move equipment in an effective and safe manner. Candidate may not be assigned to the same job location each day and should expect to be assigned anywhere in the working circle during the work day. Must be able to perform moderate to heavy labor and have the ability to read plans, specifications and manuals and have the ability to understand and carry out written and oral directions. May be assigned to a small work crew and must be able to supervise and give directions. Work may include working outdoors in extreme conditions, candidate must be able to perform duties in such conditions.
Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and work in remote areas and adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must have a valid driver's license and must have a valid Class A CDL upon appointment with proper endorsements. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 6/15/18 through 3/31/19.
