Minimum Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; established record of baseball coaching experience at the collegiate level; proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes; excellent communication skills, strong computer skills; a commitment to the values of NCAA Division III athletics; strong organizational and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, minimum of 3-5 years coaching experience at the collegiate level
Duties Description This full-time, 10-month, benefits eligible position will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the men's intercollegiate baseball program and will be assigned a secondary duty or duties in the Athletics department based on the skill set of the selected candidate and departmental needs. The selected candidate is responsible for administering all aspects of the program with specific duties including but not limited to: effective recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes; individual skill development of student-athletes; scheduling; budget preparation and management; participation in department fundraising, community service, and alumni engagement efforts; monitoring academic performance; and related work as required. The Head Coach is expected to be knowledgeable of and to adhere to all NCAA, NEAC and SUNY Cobleskill rules and regulations.
Additional Comments The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill is an accredited polytechnic college that is primarily baccalaureate and residential. SUNY Cobleskill is one of few institutions in the United States where an undergraduate student may also choose to earn an associate degree. The College has an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students in 52 programs divided into two schools - Agriculture and Natural Resources; Business and Liberal Arts & Sciences.
