Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive status as an Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding, G-9 OR one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title at or above a G-7 and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced office focused on responding to inquiries by phone and electronic communications. Familiarity with the Executive Correspondence Unit (ECU) process, scheduling/maintaining calendars and updating office databases, lists and files to ensure accuracy and completeness. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point and familiarity with Microsoft Access and/or a similar database program is highly desirable

Duties Description The incumbent will perform administrative duties for the Director and program staff for the Medical Marijuana Program within the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement. Responsibilities include triaging calls, scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and processing supply orders and purchasing requests. Duties also include assisting with tracking issues received by the program, entering program data as needed to support maintenance of information concerning the medical marijuana program, processing notification letters (per templates), helping with the intake and tracking of ECUs and FOIL requests and a variety of other administrative duties.
