Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a title SG-11 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law. Eligible list candidates will be considered and need not apply to this canvass.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include: strong organizational skills; excellent oral communication skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Duties Description The Program Aide (PA) provides general support to the Director and six professional staff of the Office of Audit Services and Compliance. The PA’s duties will include, but will not be limited to: assisting with audits of approximately 3,000 user agencies to ensure compliance with FBI guidelines with respect to assessing Criminal History Record Information; and ensuring compliance with guidelines covering the DMV Photo system and LAWMAN. The PA will maintain systems to track historical overviews of completed audits; schedule mandated audits; verify data, and summarize and document audit results. In addition, the PA obtains audit related information from the DCJS Portal, Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and Word folders. The PA will follow up with agencies for outstanding and incomplete audits and will provide assistance to agencies under audit as needed.

The PA will also be responsible for preparing outgoing correspondence; purchasing supplies and equipment and reconciling accounts; assisting staff with travel arrangements as needed; and maintaining hard copy and electronic files.

Additional Comments Appointment is subject to Division of Budget waiver approval.
