Minimum Qualifications Current State Liquor Authority employees with permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as an Office Assistant 1 and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as an Office Assistant 1; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to Grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The incumbent to this position would be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Serve as NYC office receptionist; greeting customers at the window, scheduling usage of conference rooms, announcing visitors to other NYC office Bureaus, maintaining visitor management system and other receptionist duties.

As part of the Licensing Bureau, the incumbent will provide clerical support to the Bureau, and as time permits examine and process various applications. Review applications to determine authenticity, acceptability and accuracy of documents; determine if the documents meet the requirements of applicable laws and department policy and procedures. Documents to be reviewed include, but are not limited to contracts of sale, leases, financials, diagrams, personal data forms and criminal records.

The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication. The position requires the candidate to answer questions from the public on the requirements of various license types. They will be required to send written communications to applicants explaining deficiencies within the application.

Incumbent may be asked to assist with various additional tasks which include, but are not limited to data entry, scanning, and license/permit issuance.

Additional Comments Position eligible for $3,026 annual location pay factor.
