Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list, or;
Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 Calculations and Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding.

Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for opening, date-stamping and distributing MDO mail. Logging and checking health care provider applications for completeness, researching applicants’ board-certification status and disciplinary history; creating and maintaining health care provider files; authorizing health care providers using the Health Provider Administration (HPA) computer system upon final approval by supervisor; sending letters to applicants requesting additional information; assisting callers with questions about the application process; assisting claimants in locating health care providers; perform routine mailings to health care providers regarding licensure status and board certification status; creating, mailing and tracking renewal licenses for x-ray and medical facilities and creating and modifying entries in the Provider Tracking module in Microsoft Share Point. Less than 10% travel.
