Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description This position is in the Appropriation Control Section. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
? Review and process new contracts and encumbrances for Local Municipalities;
? Review and process Consultant Agreements including creation of the AC340 encumbering document;
? Track daily entries to facilitate efficient flow of transactions from NYSDOT source systems (AS400) through the WIPPER Web Interface system to the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) ensuring transaction approval. Research and resolve issues that arise;
? Database Administrator of the State/Local Access Database used for tracking the progression of Local Agreements processed;
? Regularly produce a report identifying the status of each of the local municipality contracts and distribute to Management;
? Work with Regional Staff to resolve discrepancies for contract funding;
? Work with various units within the Department to ensure contract process runs smoothly.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
