Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be current state employees and have a reachable score on the Office Assistant 2 list or
Have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Office Assistant 2 or to a title eligible for transfer to Office Assistant 2 or
Appointment as a Office Assistant 2 here at UAlbany, less than 1 year of service, (remainder of probationary period to be completed in new assignment) or
Be a former state employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Office Assistant 2. May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at time of appointment.

Duties Description This position is located in the Youth Justice Institute located within the University at Albany School of Criminal Justice. Incumbent will perform complicated clerical processing requiring independent decision-making; entering data electronically into several computer information systems; be the first point of contact for visitors and guests to the Youth Justice Institute; answer the main phone line, direct incoming calls; address complex inquiries requiring comprehensive knowledge of the Institute and its partners (DCJS and OCFS); prepare and distribute information as needed; prepare materials for meetings such as copying, scanning and compiling handouts; learning the University’s web system to update the Institute’s webpage with relevant information and / or links to information on other internal and external web platforms; format and disseminate technical assistance materials for the Institute as we as quarterly progress reports that highlight the success of the Institute; provide office support for the Executive Director of the Institute and other professionals; maintain and track inventory of supplies, purchasing supplies as needed; maintain office copier / printer and call for service as needed
