Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates with one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service as a Labor Services Representative, Grade 16 (and parenthetics) may be considered for provisional appointment to Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board Supervisor, Grade 20.

Transfer Qualifications: Candidates with one year of permanent competitive service as a Supervising Labor Services Representative (and parenthetics) may qualify for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law to Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board Supervisor, Grade 20.

Hourly Labor Services Representatives are not eligible for reassignment, transfer or provisional appointment to Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board Supervisor, Grade 20.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

Under the general direction of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board Manager you would have primary supervisory responsibility for assigning, planning, managing, and coordinating the work of multiple units within the Appeal Board’s Administrative Services Section. You would work closely with the supervisor of each unit to oversee staff training, monitor unit work flow and make adjustments to correct or improve the unit’s performance. You would also respond to complex inquiries from customers or staff concerning the Appeal Board’s operations and make recommendations to Appeal Board management staff regarding the development and/or revision of Board policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure conformance with applicable Federal laws, rules and regulations.
