Duties Description
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Order parts and recording purchases in accordance with contractual and open market purchasing regulations;
· Use computers and parts books to obtain and cross reference part numbers;
· Receive and/or supervise the receipt and storage of parts and supplies, maintain inventory levels, conduct physical inventories;
· Follow up with vendors regarding delivery problems and assist in maintaining security and orderliness of parts storage areas;
· Assist in monitoring adherence to purchasing practices, vendor performance contract compliance and quality assurance of products received;
· Transfer and issue motor equipment parts assuring consumption of parts are properly charged and accounted for;
· Handle material such as; 55gallon oil drums, plow blades, automotive batteries, and various other heavy materials utilizing our moving equipment when necessary, IE; forklift, and overhead crane;
· Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs;
· Delivering parts to residency locations within the Region in various inclement weather conditions. Take back parts and cores to vendors within the state;
· Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
· Perform physical inventories in the field and shop locations and any other housecleaning item
that should arise.
