Minimum Qualifications In order to be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description This position is located in the Federal Aid Section. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Supervise and guide the unit’s student assistants in processing billing suspense, project close out transactions, and other miscellaneous tasks;
* Liason with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Program Management Bureau in analyzing complex projects and other issues to progress FHWA’s Financial Management Information System (FMIS) transactions to approval;
* Generate from FMIS and distribute daily via email, the modifications and agreements report;
* Use the modifications and agreements report to process 207 and 210 transactions in the Integrated Accounting System daily;
* Analyze and correct, on a timely basis, projects that are taken off current bill because of errors or erroneous credits;
* Receive and process, in a timely manner, archeological bills from the New York State Education Department;
* Set up of aerial photography Project Identification Numbers;
* Assist with federal fiscal year end activities;
* Assist with miscellaneous tasks assigned as needed.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
