Minimum Qualifications TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:

An employee with one year of permanent competitive service in a title equated to M-1/G-25 or above and designated administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law may be eligible for transfer.

*Consecutive transfers cannot result in more than two salary grades, or one M-grade.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

Under the general direction of the Director of Special Programs & Central Support, with detailed knowledge of Unemployment Insurance Laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures; the incumbent provides leadership, direction and guidance to Customer Service & Special Program Section Staff. The incumbent’s duties include, but are not limited to the following: resolving urgent customer service inquires for UI management and executive staff, serving as the UI Division liaison with stakeholders such as the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the State Comptroller and internal and external auditors, responding to requests for high-priority information and statistics from the Commissioner’s and UI Director’s Office, reviewing sensitive cases for written response under the signature of the Director of the UI Division or the Commissioner of Labor, representing the Division at meetings of organized labor, employers and other state workforce agencies; acting as the lead for special programs and projects, collaborating with directors to evaluate, establish and implement policies and procedures on a statewide and central office basis.
