Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent, competitive service in an appropriate title.

Duties Description This Office Assistant 2 position is located in the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) State Supplement Bureau, within Employment and Income Support Programs. The incumbent will serve as the team leader for the Scanning and Distribution Unit. The incumbent will supervise Office Assistant 1's (OA-1’s).

Duties of the position will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the scanning and e-fax in-boxes;
• Moving incoming correspondence to proper folders to be worked on;
• Scanning incoming correspondence;
• Maintaining an archive of faxes and e-mails;
• Prioritizing and assigning work items on a daily basis; and
• Directing correspondence to internal and external resources as necessary (i.e., Social Security Administration, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).

Additional Comments Appointment will be contingent upon the Division of the Budget approval to fill. You must be a current NYS employee to apply for this position. A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
