Minimum Qualifications EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of responsible management, administrative or supervisory experience in the health services field including one (1) year as manager of one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities or mental retardation.
A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in hospital, health care, public or business administration or a related field.
Six (6) years of the experience described above including two (2) years as a manager as described above.
A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards.
Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Individuals excluded from participation in these programs will not be considered.
Duties Description Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Psychiatric Center, the Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1- Administration (DDPC 1 - Administration) will have responsibility for the day-to-day development and direction of administrative management services (e.g., human resources, fiscal services and support services) and will be responsible for the overall development, maintenance and implementation of the Environment of Care (EOC) plans at the facility. The DDPC 1 - Administration, as part of the management team of the facility, assists the Executive Director and provides administrative leadership; implements facility policies; interprets policy guidelines and monitors the effectiveness of these policies and ensures Joint Commission standards for Administrative Services are met.
Additional Comments Salary: $107,800 - $136,042; Plus $3,026 Location Pay
Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center (SCPC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1 – Administration. SCPC is a state-operated, Joint Commission accredited, 54 inpatient bed facility located in Dix Hills, New York. The facility provides a comprehensive array of behavioral health care services to youth with serious emotional disturbances that helps foster recovery and successful functioning in the home, school, and community. SCPC offers a full range of programs and services including inpatient hospitalization, day hospitalization, day treatment, outpatient clinic treatment, outpatient clinical support services, mobile mental health teams, crisis services, information and referral, and community training within a safe and therapeutic environment.
