Minimum Qualifications One year as Production Control Supervisor, Quality Control Supervisor or General Industrial Training Supervisor (any parenthetic) or three years of satisfactory experience in industrial engineering, one year of which involved supervisory responsibility for manufacturing operations; or five years of satisfactory experience in the supervision of planning of manufacturing operations. A Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business Administration may be substituted for two years experience.
Duties Description Assistant to Industrial Superintendent in the direction of an extensive correctional industrial program, or independently in charge of a small industrial program. Incumbents oversee the purchase of raw materials and their manufacture in finished goods; approve written specifications and estimates; correspond with vendors and state agencies; select shop equipment, prepare periodic and special reports of industrial activities; compile bills of materials and cost findings; and exercise supervision over all civilian and inmate employees working in correctional services industries.
