If qualifying for either the Senior Accountant or Accountant Trainee 1 based upon service in one of the transferable titles included in the attached links, with an asterisk (*SPL), you must submit a list of qualifying coursework with your application that shows you have 24 semester credit hours in accounting, auditing, or taxation. Duties Description This position will report directly to an Associate Accountant within the Bureau of Financial Services. The candidate will participate within a unit responsible for the analysis, testing, documentation and coordination of activities supporting the Automated Claiming System (ACS) and other financial applications. This position will have primary responsibility for supporting the ACS Enhancement Project and act as a liaison with Office of Information Technology project staff. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for various administrative and audit duties specific to ACS and other financial applications.

The incumbent will be responsible for maintenance activities and new requests to support the existing ACS application. They will need to analyze Federal and State laws, proposed Federal and State legislation, departmental releases, program policy and fiscal policy to determine the impact to the fiscal systems supported by the unit. Support activities would include: tracking and analyzing change requests, developing and documenting test plans, conducting application testing and documenting results, troubleshooting problems and working with both end users and technical staff, coordinating application security requests and participating in audit reviews for the application.

Additional Comments A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.

Salary for Trainee 1 is $45,455.
