Minimum Qualifications Eligible for appointment via a 70.1 transfer from Head Clerk Purchase (SG-17), Senior Accountant (SG-18), or Sr. Municipal Financial Analyst (SG-18).
Or eligible for provisional appointment to the Assistant Investment Officer Trainee 1 title (NS equated to a SG-14) using existing minimum qualifications of:
A bachelor's degree in investment, business administration, finance, management or economics with 24 credits in any combination of accounting, finance, investment, statistics, actuarial science, marketing, economics, or real estate.
Duties Description The Assistant Investment Officer would, under the supervision of the Associate Investment Officer:
Determine each day’s investment maturities.
Collect bids and offers on investment transactions from broker/dealers.
Prepare trade tickets for each investment transaction
Prepare bank wires.
Perform collateral substitutions for cash and investment transactions.
Perform mark to market securities in investment portfolio.
Complete special projects for management as needed.
As an Assistant Investment Officer, in general, you would assist higher level staff in the analysis and management of investments, assist in the trading of U. S. Treasury securities, repurchase agreements, and certificates of deposit.
You will prepare detailed analysis of investment offerings, maintain and/or develop relevant statistical data, and prepare correspondence and documents in connection with purchases and sales of investments.
Additional Comments Assistant Investment Officer Trainee 1 beginning salary range is $41,170
