Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as an Program Aide OR eligible for 70.1 transfer.
Duties Description The Office of the Ombudsman (OOTO) advocates for youth in OCFS custody and in detention.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Assisting the Director of the Ombudsman’s Office with routine and special projects including preparation of reports; database input and organization; managing OOTO communications; travel coordination; training; meeting scheduling and compiling background information for meetings.
Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to function as part of a team are necessary.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Additional Comments An interest working in the juvenile justice, child care, or youth advocacy field is preferred.
