Salary RangeFrom $66375 to $83954 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree and four years of family and children services experience* including or supplemented by two years in the planning, development or delivery of child abuse and/or neglect programs. This experience must include or be supplemented by one year of investigative experience and one year of professional level supervision. *Children and family services experience may include, but is not limited to, adoption services, foster care services for children and/or adults, preventive services and protective services for children and/or adults.
Duties Description Oversee on-going investigations of child abuse/maltreatment in facilities caring for children. Arrange investigation assignments and monitor workflow. Provide investigative techniques and training to staff. Implement child abuse prevention training in facilities and due to high workload, will assist in the investigations. Manage the Child Protective Surveys, as well as the implementation of corrective action to guarantee and improve child safety in this region. Conduct case consultation regarding child protective cases found to be out of compliance with NYS legislation and regulation. Review CPS investigations of foster families that are certified by the local district and voluntary agencies. Keep local district supervisors informed of NYS policy and practice. Manage corrective action resulting from fatality reviews in order to ensure and improve the health and safety of children. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
