Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title or reachable on the appropriate Civil Service List; or one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidate should possess strong technical skills. The preferred candidate will have Oracle Financial System and Statewide Financial System experience.

Duties Description This position will function as part of a team responsible for defining and developing system requirements for routine changes and enhancements to the Division of Criminal Justice Service’s Oracle Financial Management system. In this capacity, the incumbent will develop new systems applications, modify existing system functions to meet the requirements of programs and the Finance Office and maintain related scripts. The incumbent will maintain configuration tables for specific program areas and access data to generate a variety of reports for internal and external customers.
This position will play a vital role in successfully implementing next phases of the Statewide Financial System (SFS) and the statewide Grants Management System project. As part of a team, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying business requirements and designing, testing and implementing solutions for DCJS and host agencies. This includes the review of processes, the identification of translation issues and related development of solutions for such issues. In addition to performing first instance testing of developed solutions, duties will include, but are not limited to, coordinating agency testing, testing results, issue tracking, and resolution and implementation throughout the life of the project. This position will also provide post-implementation support, coordinate and provide training and help desk support to end users. This position encompasses governmental financial business coupled with financial system implementation and support.
