Minimum Qualifications Candidates who are currently enrolled in, or hold a degree from an accredited college or university in the field of environmental science, environmental or chemical engineering are preferred. Work experience and/or knowledge about industrial processes is a plus.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, well organized and have proficiency with mathematical, chemical, environmental and engineering principles, computers and applicable software (spreadsheets and databases), as well as word processing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with people and clients in a professional manner are required.
Duties Description Under the supervision of the Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP) Manager, the intern will perform activities to help small businesses comply with Federal and State environmental air regulations. The intern may be responsible for help with environment air support, data management, speaking with industrial suppliers, vendors and consultants, creating publications and updating SBEAP webpages.
