Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant work experience in program management, including two years in the management, implementation, and/or strategic development of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Additionally, a demonstrated knowledge of EV charging programs, charging hardware, software, and associated infrastructure, as well as familiarity with the permitting process and industry best practices.
Substitutions:
Seven years of relevant work experience.

Associate’s degree and four years of relevant work experience.

Candidates with a J.D. or master's degree may be credited with one year of specialized experience; Candidates with a Ph.D. may be credited with two years of specialized experience.

Duties Description The OGS Division of Resiliency and Sustainability serves as the hub for policy development, implementation, and interagency coordination for the purpose of ensuring the state’s assets and operations are aligned with State climate goals.

This position will support OGS in leading the New York State fleet conversion initiatives while closely coordinating with the following OGS Programs - Division of Real Estate, Design & Construction, Fleet Management and Procurement Services, along with the New York Power Authority and other partners. The incumbent will report to a Senior Policy Advisor for Sustainability and Resiliency, and will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee existing charging network and maintenance of chargers at State-owned facilities.
• Ensure appropriate uptime maintenance contractors are meeting their Service Level Agreement responsibilities.
• Support project management needs with regard to the State’s EV conversion work.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on progress towards EV goals, including EVSE and vehicles by category.
• Provide technical assistance, capacity-building materials, and support for NYS agencies and other State entities on vehicle electrification.
• Monitor preventative maintenance visits and closing of support tickets for electric vehicle infrastructure.
• Leverage vehicle telematics and other data systems to further inform siting of EVSE and identification of vehicles for electrification.
• Identify opportunities to align the light-duty fleet vehicle electrification with the medium and heavy-duty fleet vehicle electrification.
• Assess and/or update parking operations and related policies to ensure needs are balanced for both the users and the facilities. needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Note: Some travel is required. Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license.
