Duties Description Under the supervision of an Associate Accountant, the incumbent of this position will be assigned to the Accounting Bureau. Duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Perform the analysis, review and collection of data information for the development of the Indirect cost rate on an annual basis. Collect and manage the required data from the internal DOT database systems.
• Collect and organize cost information related to Emergency events in order to seek reimbursement from Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). Coordinate department efforts with internal regions and programs, as well as, external departments.
• Responsible for preparing the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) weekly reimbursements, assuring accuracy of the billing and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Coordinate the Quarterly Review of fixed assets for Office of General Services’ Statewide Capital Assets Accounting System (SCAAS) and coordinate the Biennial Inventory Coordination with the regional offices.
• Calculate the Cash Management Improvement Act Interest on an annual basis.
• Maintain and Reconcile the General Ledger
• Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency events.
