Minimum Qualifications • Eight (8) years’ experience managing Information Technology projects associated with Exchange or SharePoint deployments or migrations.

• Eight (8) years’ experience as technical trainer with primary responsibility of teaching associates how to effectively use and better leverage newly deployed technology to ensure expected return on these investments.

OR an associated degree in computer science and six (6) years’ experience as stated above.

OR a bachelor’s degree in computer science and four (4) years’ experience as stated above.

OR applicable Microsoft certifications in Windows 2008 or above OS, Exchange, or SharePoint

Duties Description The IT Project Technical Lead will have primary responsibility in augmenting existing Information Technology staff to backfill technical and professional skills currently in process of being developed or through backfilling existing open competitive positions. The key to this temporary position is to provide a resource with high level diverse experience involving Microsoft server technologies such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Windows OS to name a few.


• This position will be directly involved as the technical program and lead manager for our planned Exchange 2013 migration project. This project will be used as an example to cross train the existing Exchange team in developing needed program and project management skills internally.

• This position will initially oversee the Exchange server administration staff and provide day to day management of our Exchange mail server infrastructure. The Development of reporting metrics used to monitor and ensure server/application health will also be defined and matured.

• This position will be directly involved as a technical lead for SharePoint server administration responsibilities as the Real Estate Finance (REF) electronic filing project begins to move forward. The incumbent will be expected to oversee, cross train and mentor existing state staff in SharePoint.

• This position will initially be responsible in support of the day to day management of our SharePoint server infrastructure and to develop reporting metrics used to monitor and ensure server/application health, while also developing technical skills of internal staff.

• As state positions are filled and we expand our collaboration technology team (Exchange and SharePoint) this project based position will play a key role in rapidly building skills through cross training IT staff in support of these new technologies & support services

• This position will also provide project management skills to assist with the development and deployment of new technologies being implemented agency wide. Cross training existing IT staff in program/project methodologies will be required and is a defined business goal in our strategy for the future.

• This position will be actively involved with the project management team as their level of responsibilities grows. This growth is to be expected as new agency & IT initiatives are being approved.

• This position will be actively involved in developing, updating and maintaining technical documentation associated with infrastructure architecture, configuration, optimization settings, network & workflow drawings, troubleshooting scripts, escalation & communication scripts, and policies & procedures associated with operational management & best practices.

• This position will provide project management and technical expertise on continuous security and data integrity, data protection, high availability (HA) and disaster & recovery (DR) planning.

• Formal Project Management training

• Practical hands on experience coaching and cross training associates on new technologies and professional skills

• Experience monitoring staff on effective troubleshooting and document management methodologies

• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively as business needs change
