Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate will have at least six (6) years of legal experience, including substantial experience in developing and managing complex, document-intensive cases. The successful candidate will also possess excellent writing skills and significant deposition and trial experience. A background in government and policy, and finance and securities, is not necessary but is a plus.

Attorneys in the Office must be admitted to practice in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the Office be citizens of the United States and reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State.

Duties Description The Office of the New York State Attorney General is seeking an experienced attorney for the Public Integrity Bureau (PIB) in New York City. PIB Investigates and prosecutes crimes committed by public employees, elected officials, candidates for public office, and people and entities that steal from the government. Prosecutors with PIB handle complex, long term investigations into government corruption, fraud and abuse of authority. PIB investigates and prosecutes both civilly and criminally, from the initial allegation through to settlement, plea, or trial. PIB, consists of attorneys, investigators, auditors and analysts.
