Minimum Qualifications Current permanent status as a Food Service Worker 1 and eligible for transfer - OR - Eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law - OR - Reachable on the current Food Service Worker 1 eligible list.

Duties Description Under Supervision of Cook or Nutrition Service Administrator maintain high standards of cleanliness in dish room/pot room areas. Wash pots, pans and utensils. Dispose of trash and garbage. Clean trash and garbage cans. Clean and mop pot room area after each use. Wash, rinse and sanitize dishes and utensils in dish machine. Drain and clean dish machine after each use. Maintain kitchen in sanitary condition, including floors and walls. Responsible for serving food to clients, reheating food, keeping food service area and dining room area clean. Portion snacks and nourishments and distribute to appropriate areas. Report need for equipment repairs to Cook. Assist in receiving deliveries and lifting 50-lbs of canned goods and other food products at loading dock and store in appropriate areas, as needed. May assume duties of Foodservice Worker II as necessary. Conduct and monitor evaluation audits as assigned (e.g. dish machine temps sanitizer audit). Perform other related duties as assigned. Assigned hours may need to change to meet the needs of the facility.
