Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field AND four years of field investigative experience including three years of supervisory investigative experience. Field investigative experience should include:
-Practical experience with conducting undercover operations, utilization of electronic surveillance equipment, evidence collection and preservation techniques;
-Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding search and seizure and evidence preservation;
-Experience working with law enforcement agencies at the federal, state and local levels and working on large-scale, multiple-agency investigations;
-Experience working with criminal justice and non-criminal justice agencies such as financial institutions, federal agencies, public and private entities;
-Experience with administrative disciplinary procedures including delivery of testimony at arbitration hearings;
-The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and verbal communication skills; and
-The candidate must demonstrate excellent writing skills and possess the ability to produce precise written summations of investigative activities.

Duties Description Under the general direction and supervision of the Chief of Investigations, the Assistant Chief of Investigations will:
-Provide direct supervision to senior level investigators located in home and satellite offices and assist with the general supervision of all staff;
-Determine investigative priorities and monitor the progress of active investigations to ensure that the investigation is being conducted with professional competence, technical accuracy and integrity;
-Direct the manner in which complex cases are handled and oversee sensitive investigations;
-Review investigative findings and provide guidance on investigative plans;
-Coordinate and deliver training programs;
-Review and revise investigative reports;
-Develop and revise unit policy and procedures;
-Maintain liaison with federal, state and local authorities and facilitate meetings when collaborating in complex investigations;
-Analyze data gathered from investigations to determine if patterns exist and report results to the Chief of Investigations; and
-Oversee the unit operations in the absence of the Chief of Investigations.
