Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be capable of operating a standard shift pickup truck.
Duties Description Will be responsible for entering data for invoices, work orders and making weekly cash deposits for campground revenue. Answering telephones relaying messages to the public and other state employees. Will be assigned to work at campgrounds permit sales office if necessary. May be asked to pick up supplies or deliver supplies to campground staff or work sites. May be required to act as a supervisor in the absence of the operations supervisor. Will be required to take and maintain records including vehicle mileage reports, petroleum bulk storage and invoices. Must communicate using proper radio etiquette. Candidate must answer telephone calls and have direct communication with the public answering questions regarding camping on the Lake George Islands. Will be responsible for depositing cash and auditing campground reports.
Additional Comments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Able to safely pilot a boat on Lake George during inclement weather. Must be available weekends and holidays. Ideal candidate will have a knowledge of the Lake George including locations of state owned islands and day use areas. Knowledge of the Outdoor Recreation Management Suite (ORMS) system and the Campground Revenue Reporting System (CRRS) registering customers and completing mandatory reports. Knowledge of the Maintenance Management System (MMS). Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and power-point.
Work hours and schedule will be discussed at interview. This position has a duration from 4/1/15- 3/31/16.
